Sometimes you want to see just how far you can go without crashing.

This year has been a juggling act in every aspect of life from home to work to children to extended family and friends. Just when you sort out one aspect, something else would drop onto the pile and we’d have to figure out how to make that work. It was impossible at times. But in the end, many of us figured it out and we found a sort of balance in the uncertainty. An Impossible Balance.

This is an original signed collage constructed of hand painted papers cut and arranged on white Bristol Board, 11x14 inches, unframed and unmatted. The Framed image is for sample wall ideas only.

The papers are created in acrylic on a delicate tissue paper substrate then cut and stacked in a pleasing and often Impossible Balance. The color ways are derived from memory of nature and landscapes both real and imagined.
